Mary Olsen
Mary Elizabeth Olsen, admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts of Alabama (1994) and Florida (1995), has been associated with the firm in Mobile, Alabama, since August of 1994 and became a member of the firm in March 2002.
She attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1994 and the University of Alabama, where she graduated with honors in 1990. Mary has been involved in litigation of mass tort, class action, toxic tort, complex product liability, personal injury claims, labor and employment claims and representation of union clients in collective bargaining, arbitrations, as well as in state and federal court matters.
Her current practice primarily involves WARN Act class litigation on a nationwide basis. She has prosecuted at least seventy-eight WARN Act cases and served as class counsel in at least twenty-six. In addition to her work at The Gardner Firm, Mary is also of counsel at the prominent New York City firm Lankenau & Miller, LLP. Mary has been selected by her peers for inclusion in Naifeh and Smith's "Best Lawyers in America" in Labor and Employment (union side), in the most recent edition of that publication and previous editions.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing in the Mobile Pops, a community symphony and volunteering in local political activities.
